Philanthropy Act

May 31st, 2010

Philanthropy is the effort or inclination to increase the well-being of humankind, as by charitable aid or donations. We want to help poor or person who is in real need of money.Varshyltech always comes up with a new and innovate ideas. We have so many Charitable firms and helping Aids organizations in our country. We can take help of such organizations and the amount collected can be given to them but our motto is to give money who is in need of it. So we have decided that we will give the money to strangers and ask a question if you get a certain amount of money what you will do with it if we are satisfied with the answer we will give that amount to the stranger. Stranger can be anybody He/She can be from any part of the world. This time the stranger was our Office Guard, Many times we noticed that he is not having a fan in his room and still he is managing with the Delhi Hot and Humid temperature. So we decided if we help a guard by giving a certain amount he can buy the fan it would be really helpful to him, but as we always do we ask the question and found out that his financial condition is very bad and hardly  he is managing the things. So our philanthropy act this time helps the office guard and we can see smile on his face. It was a little contribution from our Varshyltech family but our little combined effort help the person who really needs it and we are satisfied that amount given to a person is in right hand and right use.250520105432

SILICON SCARE :Man a ‘carrier’ for computer virus

Contaminated Chip, Inside User’s Body, Can Transfer Virus To Electronic Systems That Interact With It

In what is being touted as a world first, a British scientist says he has been infected with a computer virus.
The scientist, Mark Gasson, claims to have been infected with the virus after he contaminated an electronic chip which was inserted into his hand.
Gasson, of the University of Reading, said the device was programmed with a virus which could transfer itself to other electronic systems it came in contact with, the BBC News website reported on Wednesday.
Any other chips that interacted with the infected systems would also contract the virus, he said,
raising the possibility that in the future, advanced medical devices such as pacemakers could become vulnerable to cyber attacks.
Gasson’s computer chip, a refined version of the ID chips used to track animals, has been programmed to open security doors for him and to unlock his mobile phone automatically.
The chip in Gasson’s hand is a high-end radio frequency identification chip, a sophisticated version of the technology used in shop security tags and for identifying pets. The device, the size of the grain of rice, allowed him secure access to University buildings and his mobile phone.

Once infected with the virus, the microchip contaminated the system that was used to communicate with it. It would also have infected any other devices it was connected to.
Gasson deliberately introduced a computer virus into an electronic chip that had been implanted into his left hand last year, in order to study its effects.
The results allegedly prove the principle that in future, human implants like this could contaminate increasingly complex medical devices such as pacemakers and cochlear implants.
“With the benefits of this type of technology come risks. We
may improve ourselves in some way but much like the improvements with other technologies, mobile phones for example, they become vulnerable to risks, such as security problems and computer viruses,” Gasson was quoted by BBC News as saying.
Implanted technology has become increasingly common in the United States, where medical alert bracelets can be scanned to bring up a patient’s medical history.
Professor Rafael Capurro, of the Steinbeis-Transfer-Institute of Information Ethics in Germany, added: “If someone can get online access to your im
plant, it could be serious.
“From an ethical point of view, the surveillance of implants can be both positive and negative. Surveillance can be part of medical care, but if someone wants to do harm to you, it could be a problem.”
Gasson, however, said technology with surveillance capabilities could in future become widely used for non-medical purposes. “If we can find a way of enhancing someone’s memory or their IQ then there’s a real possibility that people will choose to have this kind of invasive procedure,” he said in the BBC interview. I am Abhijit Karak, Working as a Flash Designer in VarshylTech. My Company started philanthropy activity in which we collect money from VarshylTech Employees. And the Employee gives that sum of amount to a stranger. A stranger whom we think as a needful person. Moreover, I was the second one.

My Adventurous story of Philanthropy starts on Sunday, 16th May; 2010.Our HR gave me a sum of 2550 INR.
Sunday Evening I went Sarojini Nagar Market for buying some summer garments. In the market I saw two boys and their mother sold beautiful Clay pots & others designs made by clay. I saw the designs and heard the voice from that poor family. They forced to buy their clay pots. And they told 1 month ago a super cyclone has damaged their house in Kisangani Jalpaiguri Westbengal. In this cyclone, she lost her Husband (Harish Thakur). I asked them right now, where you stay. They told Delhi Footpath is their temporary house. I asked why you come to Delhi. They told some relative is here in Delhi. They have some materials of clay pots. They are trying to sell and earn some money for the livelihood of their family. Then I told them My Company “Varshyl Tech” launches a new step to help someone. So I want to help you, Have you any problem? The three persons saw me and stopped. I asked their name one by one. The boy introduces their breaking family. Then I gave Rs.2550 to the family. The three persons stopped suddenly and their mother said me god bless you. I asked them how they will use this money. PHP – The Trendiest Web Programming Language

May 13th, 2010

PHP is now considered to be the most trendy web programming language. The biggest advantage of PHP is that, it is an open source platform. This helps in dropping cost and time for any web developing organization. Organization yearning to build a website or a web based application that will not only give a user friendly experience but also run your database. PHP is judged to be one of the best web programming languages and is extensively chosen since its foundation in 1995. This is the faultless choice of program if the client wants the project to be incorporated with a database.

The most excellent part of PHP is that it is an open source web development framework. It has all built-in developments that make it an absolute web application developing program for any prerequisite. PHP adds the winning frame over its competitors such as .Net and java which are also giants in the web development industry. PHP is considered to be the most popular and trendy web programming language. The biggest benefit is that, it is an open source platform. This helps in dipping cost and time for any web developing company.

Today, most of the companies favor a dynamic website where the content can be modified and updated sporadically. The web world was missing such websites. This appears to be a terrible to all programming languages and it made things inferior when the client demanded an SEO friendly website. The birth of PHP as a dynamic web programming language finished the issue of a website being static all the time. Each version that was released, improved the performance and security of the internet programming language.

Features of PHP Development are:

* PHP decreases the lines of code radically. This helps the quality assertion team when the testing procedure is done.
* The applications are protected and locked like never before.
* The websites built using PHP boost performance and assures to be consistent and user friendly.
* PHP being an open source language is a massive advantage. This decreases cost and time to build an application or a website.
* Websites built using PHP not only helps the developers, but also the website owners. The website is easy to sustain and further developments can be executed since the language PHP uses is of international principles.

HTML5 is Going to Conquer New Generation of the Internet

May 13th, 2010

HTML5 is the next level of HTML, or Hyper Text Markup Language, which makes the backbone of roughly every website on the Internet. HTML4, the last major repetition of the language, debuted in 1997 and has been afterward jabbed and stimulated so that it can grip the load of the modern Web. HTML 4 has been squeezed, prolonged and improved outside its original scope to bring high levels of interactivity and multimedia to Websites.

Plugins such as Flash, Silverlight and Java have added media incorporation to the Web, but not without some cost. In search of an improved user experience and battery life, Apple has merely dropped support for some of these plugins completely on mobile devices, leaving much of the media related Internet remote on iPads and iPhones. HTML5 includes numerous new features, and streamlines functionality in order to provide these processor-intensive add-ons unnecessary for many common functions.

Supercilious content providers sign on many, this means you won’t have to worry much about installing yet another plugin just to snoop to a song surrounded in a blog or watch a video on YouTube. Similarly, this is a big deal for platforms that either don’t support Flash (e.g., iPhone and iPad), or have well documented problems with it (e.g., Linux). It will be an exacting benefit to those smart phones for which supporting Flash has confirmed challenging.

HTML5′s most publicized features are media playback and offline storage. With HTML4, websites frequently have to attain for Flash or Silverlight to merely show a video or play music. HTML5 lets websites openly embed media with the simple HTML tags “” and “” – no plugins needed. There are some issues presently being deliberated by the powers that be, and a predominantly oppressive one deals with file format.

Some companies, particularly Mozilla, are approaching for the acceptance of the open-source Ogg format, which is free for anyone to use. Others, like Apple, would choose the higher quality H.264 format, which will ultimately need browser makers to pay licensing fees to support it.

The additional major addition that has acquired media consideration is the capability to store offline data for Web apps. One of the major roadblocks in the march to substitute traditional desktop apps has been that the Web-based ones are inadequate without an Internet connection.

Google is shifting its focus to HTML5. This will be proficient in creating files in Google Docs or draft e-mails when away from an Internet connection. These changes would be repeatedly synced the next time you’re online. HTML5 also adds new communicating features, like drag-and-drop, that have previously found their way into Gmail.

Advantages of HTML5

Most probable, you’re previously taking benefit of it without knowing. Safari – both mobile and desktop, Google Chrome and Firefox 3.6 all support at least some elements of HTML5. And many Google products already use some features of the next-generation protocol. If you’re using Safari or Chrome or IE, you can check out an experimental version of YouTube that makes use of HTML5′s video features.

Most of them think that HTML5 is the future of the Internet. It is estimated that HTML5 will reach W3C Recommendation by late 2010.

How to Deal with Stress at Work

May 11th, 2010

At work, we try to adhere to time management techniques for effective and efficient use of our days.

But how can we control pressure when it swamps? Deadlines slipping. Difficult work mates. Unrealistic deadlines imposed. Even unreasonable bosses. Not all situations can be controlled, but there are some ways heat at work can be turned down rather than wait for it to explode.

Ways to deal with stress from work pressures:

Prioritize

Apply time management by prioritizing tasks. Create a daily realistic ‘To Do’ list. From you list, set your priorities by coding your ‘To Dos’ with 1,2 and 3 – ’1′ as your top priority. Therefore, do the ’1′ first, followed by ’2′ and then ’3,’ your last priority.

Handle each piece of paper that comes in contact with your hand only once, at least try.

Do it now!

Stop comparing yourself to others

‘If only I have as much money as …,’ ‘Why is the boss soft on her and hard on me…,’ ‘I should have gotten that raise instead…’

Often we don’t realize that a great deal of unhappiness we cause ourselves is caused by constant comparisons we make. We say, “if only I have a big house like she has…”, “if only my husband is as rich as hers…”, “then I should be more comfortable and happier as …”

The only comparison that counts is the comparison between where we were and where we are now. By all means, admire others and be proud of their achievements, but remind yourself that only you can decide the standard you want to set for yourself.

Stretch tolerance and not be judgmental

Practice tolerance and not be judgmental. If you haven’t given this much thought before, think how often you find people getting stressed and agitated by the judgments they make about others. It might even be that you are impatient with your workmates. In a meeting, how much is your tolerance if your ideas aren’t carried out? Are you heated up and boiling mad when a colleague forgets to meet you at the appointed time? And so on.

If we think that people are ‘unreliable’, ‘lazy’, ‘always late’, and so forth, in a way, these are judgments we set on our own, and not necessarily by which others choose to live their lives. For one thing, it may not necessarily make any difference to the actions of the other person.

Stop procrastinating

The inability to make a decision and get started adds considerable pressure to our daily life. This is the serious burden of the ‘will do, ought to, should, might …’ that we so often carry around with us. Eventually, you may do the thing you have procrastinated about, but frequently, it means that you are operating with a tight deadline resulting in much stress or pressure. Therefore, the quality of your work often suffers. Other times you get burnt out. Sometimes it’s too late to rectify.

Learn to say ‘no’

How many times have you found yourself taking on a commitment that you really didn’t want, merely because you didn’t have the ability to say ‘No’? As your ‘No’ increases, so does the pressure in your daily grind. You just have to learn to say ‘No’ politely.

Take a Short Break and Relax

As in anything, you need a break to re-energize. Stand up and stretch, or close your eyes and take few deep breaths. Use your discretion and common sense, depending on your deadlines or scheduled activities.

Turn off your Mobile Phone for a Short While

We have become a society of SMS, texts, of instant responses. We have become extremely impatient. Turn off your cell phone for a couple of hours before getting back to some issues. Again, use your common sense, don’t do it if response is important and needed urgently.

New fibre-optics technology to speed up internet

May 7th, 2010

It may look like a piece of gel but it’s a new nano-based telecom technology “enabler” that can make computers and the internet hundreds of times faster.

The technology, that may be in use only five or 10 years in the future, is being designed by Koby Scheuer of Tel Aviv University’s (TAU) School of Electrical Engineering.

Mr. Scheuer has developed a new plastic-based technology for the nano-photonics market, which manufactures optical devices and components. His plastic-based “filter” is made from nanometre (a billionth of a metre) sized grooves embedded into the plastic.

When used in fibre optics cable switches, this new device will make our communication devices smaller, more flexible and more powerful, he says.

“Once Americans have a fibre optics cable coming into every home, all communication will go through it – telephone, cable TV, the Internet,” adds Mr. Scheuer.

“But to avoid bottlenecks of information, we need to separate the information coming through into different channels. Our polymeric devices can do that in the optical domain – at a speed, quality and cost that the semi-conductor industry can’t even imagine,” Mr. Scheuer says.

In the next decade, fibre optic cables that now run from city to city will feed directly into every individual home. When that technology comes to light, the new plastic-based switches could revolutionise the way we communicate.

“Right now, we could transmit all of the written text of the world though a single fibre in a fibre optics cable in just a few seconds,” says Mr. Scheuer.

“But in order to handle these massive amounts of communication data, we need filters to make sense of the incoming information. Ours uses a plastic-based switch, replacing hard-to-fabricate and expensive semi-conductors.”

Semi-conductors, grown on crystals in sterile labs and processed in special ovens, take days and sometimes months to manufacture. They are delicate and inflexible as well, Mr. Scheuer explains.

“Our plastic polymer switches come in an easy-to-work-with liquid solution. Using a method called ‘tamping,’ almost any lab can make optical devices out of the silicon rubber mould we’ve developed.”

His biggest hurdle, says Mr. Scheuer, is in convincing the communications industry that polymers are stable materials.

“There is a lot of prejudice in this industry against plastics. But this approach could take us to a new level of communication,” the researcher says, according to a TAU release.

He also notes that the process is not much different from the way that mass numbers of DVDs are produced in a factory – except Mr. Scheuer works on a nano, not a “giant” micro, scale.

His device can also be used in the gyros of planes, ships and rockets; inserted into cell phones; and made a part of flexible virtual reality gloves so doctors could “operate” on computer networks over large distances.

6 Tips to increase site traffic

May 7th, 2010

It is very important to increase site traffic because site visitors are core part for any site to become successful. So here are some tips to increase your site traffic. Hope these will help you.

Tips to increase site traffic/visitor:

1: Use of meta tags:
Meta tags help in almost doubling your site traffic .For example, suppose, you are just a new blogger and receiving almost 300 hits/ visitors per day without use of meta tags…then after use of meta tags, you’ll receive your daily visitors around 550-600.

The two things to be followed in using meta tags are:

a. Meta tags content should be most relevant to your site and

b. Meta tags should contain popular keywords which will drive heavy traffic to your site.

If you are using meta tags, but not receiving good traffic, then  just recheck your meta tag content and optimize it as explained above.

2.Use of approapriate keywords:
If you want to receive good amount of traffic/visitors from search engines, then you should have good search position in search engine results possibly in 1-20 positions. For this, use of meta tags alongwith good concentration of keywords in articles is necessary. This concentration of keywords should be optimum as overuse may lead to penalization by search engines as you are considered a spammer. You can use good “keyword detection tool” to know the approapriate keywords to be used. Even Google adwords perfectly serves this purpose which can be found at:

Google adwords
Just find your proper keywords and then sprinkle these keywords in your article. Remember to add decent amount of keywords at start and end of article. This helps you in achieving good position in search engine results.

3. Submit articles to directories:
Submitting articles to directories help us in increasing site visitors/hits in two ways:

a.we receive visitors from the directories itself ie if you submit your article to say ezine articles directory, then you are bound to receive visitors from “ezine articles”.

b. The second reason is actually more important and that is Pagerank(PR). Articles submission helps in improving your site PR as it helps in increasing your pagerank. Larger the pagerank, larger the site traffic.

Here’s is a list of directories which use the most:
Ezineartilces
humsurfer.com
indiasphere.net
wikio.com
tipd.com
mixx.com

4. Social bookmarking:

Nowadays, every netizen is well approached with this term. But it wiil definetly help you to get good traffic.

5. Feeds:

Feeds are actually meant for attracting traffic by just allowing them to read your articles or only titles and they’ll visit your site to read the full content. Also, feeds is popular medium to remind visitors of new articles. So ask your visitors to subscribe to your feeds.

6.Title optimisation:
Title optimisation is essential. Also, take care that your blog/site title contains most popular keywords relevant to your site.
After you will implement on all these tricks, I am sure that you will get the traffic you dream of. Remember, search engine optimisation is never ending process. But, it is necessary that you start well and in the right way to increase your site traffic/visitors.
