Philanthropy can be described in many ways. It is caring and sharing. It is giving and serving. It is our individual response to the human need . We want to help poor or person who is in real need of money. Varshyltech always comes up with a new and innovative ideas. We have so many Charitable firms and helping Aids organizations in our country. We can take help of such organizations and the amount collected can be given to them but our motto is to give money who is in need of it. So I have decided that I will give the money to two needy persons and ask a question if you get a certain amount of money what you will do with it if we are satisfied with the answer we will give that amount to the stranger. Stranger can be anybody He/She can be from any part of the world. This time the stranger was my priest wife , who expired two months back because of jaundice and she is having two kids who are very small so I thought that some amount I should give to her .

Then next day when i  went to the slum area where I have saw a kid who was picking garbage , then I asked him where you live then he take me to his place where I have saw his father sleeping , so I asked what you do , he said I am a worker but nowadays I am not well and suffering from T.B. so I have given some amount to him by that he can buy medicines for him. So he was happy that he can spend some amount on himself.

This time the stranger was our Office Guard, Many times we noticed that he is not having a fan in his room and still he is managing with the Delhi Hot and Humid temperature. So we decided if we help a guard by giving a certain amount he can buy the fan it would be really helpful to him, but as we always do we ask the question and found out that his financial condition is very bad and hardly  he is managing the things. So our philanthropy act this time helps the office guard and we can see smile on his face. It was a little contribution from our Varshyltech family but our little combined effort help the person who really needs it and we are satisfied that amount given to a person is in right hand and right use.

I am Abhijit Karak, Working as a Flash Designer in VarshylTech.My Company started philanthropy activity in which we collect money from VarshylTech Employees. And the Employee gives that sum of amount to a stranger. A stranger whom we think as a needful person. Moreover, I was the second one.

My Adventurous story of Philanthropy starts on Sunday, 16th May; 2010.Our HR gave me a sum of 2550 INR.
Sunday Evening I went Sarojini Nagar Market for buying some summer garments. In the market I saw two boys and their mother sold beautiful Clay pots & others designs made by clay. I saw the designs and heard the voice from that poor family. They forced to buy their clay pots. And they told 1 month ago a super cyclone has damaged their house in Kisangani Jalpaiguri Westbengal. In this cyclone, she lost her Husband (Harish Thakur). I asked them right now, where you stay. They told Delhi Footpath is their temporary house. I asked why you come to Delhi. They told some relative is here in Delhi.They have some materials of clay pots. They are trying to sell and earn some money for the livelihood of their family. Then I told them My Company “Varshyl Tech” launches a new step to help someone. So I want to help you, Have you any problem? The three persons saw me and stopped. I asked their name one by one. The boy introduces their breaking family. Then I gave Rs.2550 to the family. The three persons stopped suddenly and their mother said me god bless you. I asked them how they will use this money. They told after one month we’ll have sufficient food.

I am Kumar Abhishek,Working as a Lead Drupal Developer in VarshylTech.My company started philanthropy in which we collect money from VarshylTech Employee and company double that amount. And the Employee gives that sum of amount to a stranger. A stranger whom we think as a needful person. And I was the first person who was chosen to start it.

My Adventurous story of Philanthropy starts on Thursday, 27th April, 2010.Our HR gave me a sum of 2900 INR,I took that money very casually ,many of our colleagues has the same feeling like me that we are the most needful person and we deserve to keep it in our pocket (a general human behavior).On Friday night returning from my office, I took an auto rickshaw, I queried Autowala till my journey ended. He said that he want some money for his daughter wedding. He even told me to arrange it from my company and he will also pay the interest for that. I further asked his daily income which was 1000 INR. And I did not find him the deserving candidate, as for me he was encouraging dowry system. Next day (i.e. on Saturday), Again some evil feelings came into my minds like why to give others whom we don’t know. Till Sunday I did not given it to anyone. But on Monday morning, I decided to give it to a rickshaw puller, and get rid of this burden. I was on leave that day, I went to my relative and coming back from there, I took a rickshaw from Rajnigandha Chowk at Sec-16 Noida to Sec-19, Noida.In between the journey I asked few things about him and his family. He said his name is Sachin Sarkar. His native place is Malda, West Bengal. He has two sons and a daughter. Both of his sons working in a factory. His wife is also working. I asked him what he will do if I will give him 2900 INR. He took it very casually that time. He said “I have never ever in my life given complete ration to my family,So, I will purchase it”. I also asked he is drunker or something he said it as expected NO. Then I finally decided to give that money to him. When I step down from his rickshaw I gave that money to him. He came up with a strange expression. And He asked “Are you from any reality TV show?”. I laughed and said “no” and elaborated the mission of my company. He was overwhelmed with that with tears in his eyes he said “Sir, you people are great” and he leaned to touch my feet. I stopped him. I was speechless at that time and same he was. He told me to drop me to my home. I did not accept his favor.

The whole scene was like moving around me, I will never forget this wonderful experience. But I will never ever want to get into such kind of situation. Because if you donate from your side. It is all your will but if it became a responsibility of trust of so many people then it’s a big burden at your head. It’s like overcoming your greed and to think beyond your needful boundaries.
